How much cable should a church own?

The rule that works is simple: one cable per input, plus one spare for every two inputs, plus one long run that can reach anywhere in the building. Churches that follow it stop having cable emergencies. The table below turns that into quantities and money for common platform sizes.

The cable is the cheap part; what matters is that it is shielded and correctly installed, because an unshielded run sharing a conduit with mains wiring is the usual cause of a digital snake that drops out intermittently.

Who should not buy this tier: A church with an analog console, which cannot use a digital stage box at all.
